Sport is a tradition at Jain International University, Rwanda. Our key legacy in sports is well-known worldwide.
The University is committed to its mission of providing excellent opportunities, quality training and competitive experiences to its students in sports. The network of coaching and support staff on its roles includes some of the most experienced, highly qualified and respected young professionals within their field. The process starts with identifying and enlisting students with an interest in sports before slowly integrating them in the training to be part of the University teams or individual disciplines.
Secondly, the Department of Sports maintains a strong network of the alumni once they exit the gates of our campuses and guide them through the path to continue participating in sports for their benefit and that of their community. The University provides experiences for students by offering structured and professionally supported opportunities that enhance their employability and the sustainability of future developments.
The students with an inclination and talent for sports can also become a part of the clubs and associations supporting sports.
We not only help our students hone their skills in the sports of their choice but also keep a strict supervision on the academic progress of our sportspersons. There are mechanisms in place to make special arrangements to ensure that the academic progresses of the students are not hindered due to their interest in sports. These include special coaching, tutoring and mentoring along with counselling to handle studies and sports simultaneously.
